Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance says BizCover will be the sole direct distributor for its SME professional indemnity offerings in Australia.  

Under the deal, BHSI products such as information technology liability and allied health combined liability will appear on BizCover’s digital platform.  

“BizCover’s digital-first approach is making insurance more accessible and efficient for SMEs,” BHSI Australasia head Mark Lingafelter said. “Partnering with BizCover allows us to provide professional indemnity cover reliably and at scale, supporting growth in Australia and beyond.”

BHSI will join BizCover’s trusted insurer panel, offering cover for sectors including allied health, IT, trades, real estate, consulting, engineering, accounting and architecture.  

BizCover CEO Michael Gottlieb says the alliance provides Australian SMEs with “seamless access to their professional indemnity cover. This partnership allows businesses to compare, buy and manage insurance efficiently in one place, backed by one of the world’s most respected insurers.”  

He says there are plans for the collaboration to extend to New Zealand in coming months.
