Association reveals claims broker finalists
Four finalists are in the running for the claims broker of the year award.
Aon’s Wendy Ford and Campbell Hasler, Howden’s Linh Nguyen-Prashar and Marsh’s Simon Bogli will compete for the honour, the National Insurance Brokers Association says.
The winner will be revealed at the NIBA Convention on the Gold Coast next month.
“We are delighted to announce the finalists. This award celebrates the outstanding contributions of NIBA members working in claims,” the association said.
The award, sponsored by Sedgwick, was won last year by North Queensland Insurance Brokers claims manager Charmaine Field.
For the first time, this year’s NIBA conference will feature a fringe stage for 15-minute “pop-up” presentations. There are six slots available across two days.
“We’re inviting companies and individuals to pitch their idea and apply,” NIBA said.
The October 19-21 event at RACV Royal Pines Resort also features golf, tennis, “paint and sip”, boxing and yoga, plus a raft of expert speakers. Olympic swimming gold and silver medallist Brooke Hanson is MC.
NIBA says more than 800 people have already registered.
The broker and young broker of the year will be crowned at an awards dinner, and a presentation on the strategic direction of NIBA will be followed by a debate on the statement: “It is harder to be a broker today than it was 30 years ago.”
