Almost 100 young brokers in running for top award
A record 96 nominations have been lodged for this year’s young broker of the year award.
The National Insurance Brokers Association says the response reflects the strength of emerging talent in the industry.
“Receiving 96 nominations this year is a fantastic result and a strong reflection of the elevated standing of this award across the profession,” NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said.
“It shows how deeply our profession values the contribution of young brokers.”
The award recognises outstanding brokers aged under 35. It has been sponsored by Vero for 37 years.
Vero head of distribution Anthony Pagano says the number of nominations shows “the strong regard this award continues to command across the profession.
“It is exciting to see so many outstanding brokers under 35 recognised by their peers and workplaces as future leaders.”
State winners will be revealed at gala lunches in July. They will then compete for the national young broker of the year prize, to be announced at the NIBA Convention in October.
