Zurich says Alan James will join its New Zealand business next month as distribution head and assistant GM.

Mr James is moving after more than 17 years at AIG, most recently as NZ client and broker engagement lead. He has also held leadership roles in AIG’s aerospace portfolio.

He says Zurich has a “strong market presence and reputation for delivering quality outcomes for its customers in New Zealand. I am excited to join the team and further advance this position, building on the deep relationships Zurich has in the local market.”

He will work with Zurich NZ GM Adrian Sweeney, who says Mr James’ experience makes him “an important asset as we execute on our local priorities and continue to grow”.
