Insurers hold more Alfred claim sessions

The Insurance Council of Australia will host consultations in southeast Queensland communities affected by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Sessions in Hervey Bay, Redland Bay and Gold Coast will allow policyholders to speak with insurers about their claims.

Council CEO Andrew Hall says insurers’ return to Hervey Bay following a meeting in May “signals their commitment to progressing outstanding claims.

“While the Insurance Council and its members had a presence in many impacted communities immediately following Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, it’s important for insurers to revisit affected regions to work through any questions, issues or concerns customers may have.

“We encourage anyone with queries for their insurer to make a booking.”

The sessions will be held at:

  • The Clubhouse in Hervey Bay on August 19 from 9am-5pm
  • Redlands Sporting Club on August 21 from 10am-4pm
  • The Well in Gold Coast on August 22 from 9am-5pm
