Insurance Council returns to hail-damaged town
The Insurance Council of Australia will revisit the west Victorian town of Casterton next month to hold two consultation days concerning last October’s hailstorm.
The sessions will give customers another chance to speak with insurers on claims, dispute options and other related matters. They follow a similar event in April.
ICA CEO Andrew Hall says the revisit acknowledges that “recovery is still very much ongoing for this community ... our return to the region signifies our commitment to working closely with policyholders and all those along the supply chain – including builders, suppliers and assessors – on finalising outstanding claims.
“I encourage anyone with an outstanding claim to come see your insurer in person for tailored advice.”
The sessions will be at Casterton Town Hall from 10am-7pm on July 3 and 8am-4pm on July 4.
Attendees are encouraged to register in advance. Find booking information here.
