Resolution Life has appointed Jeff Davies as CFO, replacing Jonathan Moss, who will become chief technical officer.

Mr Davies is group CFO at Legal & General, a role he took in 2017. He will leave the UK financial services company at the end of the year and join Resolution in March.

He will be responsible for strategic direction, all financial and investment activities, and corporate development.

Bermuda-based Resolution has operations in the UK and the US and operates here as Resolution Life Australasia after buying AMP’s life business in 2020.

The group, including its Australian operations, has been acquired by Japan’s Nippon Life and the $US8.2 billion deal ($12.4 billion) is expected to close this year.
