Specialist life insurer PPS says director Anthony Asher will become its next chair, replacing the retiring Mike Jackson.

Dr Asher, an actuary and associate professor at University of NSW Business School, joined the board last year.

He has held senior roles with Prudential in South Africa and Deloitte in Australia, alongside involvement with the Actuaries Institute and the non-profit sector.

CEO Michael Pillemer says Dr Asher’s “unique blend of industry expertise … and vision makes him the ideal leader to chair our board at this exciting stage of PPS Mutual’s journey.
