New board members join adviser peak body

Viridian joint CEO Glenn Calder and Marshan Consulting MD Ben Marshan have been elected to the Financial Advice Association Australia board.

Their appointments follow the retirement of William John and resignation of Angela Martyn in September.

They will start their three-year terms when the association holds its annual general meeting on November 18. Board member Jade Khao will serve another term after she was re-elected.

“The appointments of Glenn, Ben and Jade … come at a crucial time in the evolution of the financial advice profession,” association chair David Sharpe said.

“Each board member brings important skills and experience, which will add to the depth of knowledge on the FAAA board and will play an important role in guiding our strategic direction as we navigate a challenging regulatory landscape.”
