Insurer offers premium relief for flood-hit customers
Acenda has announced measures to “ease the burden” on customers affected by the NSW floods.
The life insurer says its support package includes premium waivers, counselling and online health resources via its Vivo service.
“Natural disasters can bring unexpected stress and financial challenges,” GM of distribution Michael Downey said.
“To help ease the burden, Acenda is offering a premium waiver of up to three months to ensure impacted customers can maintain their cover during this period.”
The floods have triggered more than 4100 general insurance claims to date across the Mid North Coast, Hunter and Greater Sydney regions, according to the Insurance Council of Australia.
About 80% relate to personal property, and the remainder are for commercial and motor.
