The Financial Services Council has appointed Challenger CEO Nick Hamilton as deputy chair.

Mr Hamilton takes over from AMP CEO Alexis George, who is retiring today.

“A strong contributor to the board over four years, [Mr Hamilton] brings deep expertise in retirement income, financial markets and wealth management,” the FSC said.

Incoming AMP CEO Blair Vernon will join the FSC board as a director, and Schroders Australia CEO Alison Telfer will rejoin the board.
