St Andrew’s Insurance Group has appointed former Zurich executive Colin Morgan as a non-executive director.  

Mr Morgan was CEO of Zurich Australia from 2009 to 2014, before moving to Hong Kong to be the insurer’s Asia-Pacific global life CEO for two years.

He has also worked at international bank ING as life and investments CEO in Italy, and as an executive director for advice in its Australian division.

Since his time at Zurich, he has held non-executive director positions at Avenue Bank and Bank South Pacific.  

St Andrew’s chairman Allan Griffiths says Mr Morgan’s “deep industry knowledge, international experience and proven governance expertise will be invaluable as we pursue growth and continue our focus on delivering simple and sustainable life insurance to Australian consumers”.  

Earlier this year, St Andrew’s announced a partnership with Neilson Financial Services to distribute its products.
