Retired cricketers Adam Gilchrist and Mel Jones will speak at the closing session of the Financial Advice Association Australia annual conference in November.

The former Australian stars will share with advisers “what it really means to stay ahead of the game – on the field and in the world of financial advice”, according to the association.

Assistant Treasurer and Financial Services Minister Daniel Mulino will also speak at the conference in Perth.

He is expected to discuss government policy on issues facing advisers and his views on the profession’s future, followed by a Q&A moderated by association CEO Sarah Abood.

“We look forward to hearing from [Dr Mulino] about how the government is addressing the many current issues facing financial advisers,” association GM of membership Tania Milnes said.
