Acenda has announced a collaboration with insurtech UnderwriteMe that will help the life insurer collect and process medical information.

Medical evidence, including doctors’ reports and blood test results, can now be assessed by Acenda’s underwriting engine, enabling faster approvals for cover.  

Acenda COO Jane Murray says the partnership “transforms the collection and processing of medical information … the underwriting process will be fully digitised, creating a capability where automated underwriting decisions can occur where medical evidence is required”.

UnderwriteMe, which offers tech solutions for the life industry, launched in Australia in 2015.
