New underwriter platform Cuttleflow Systems will launch in Sydney on Thursday at an event hosted by Sparke Helmore Lawyers partner Mark Doepel.

Co-founder and executive director Max Broodryk was formerly Axa’s head of cyber and Allianz’s regional underwriting manager for cyber and professional indemnity.

He was most recently country manager for Australia at Probitas 1492, which Aviva acquired in 2024 and has rebranded Aviva Syndicates.

Cuttleflow says it offers “systems for underwriters, built by underwriters” and bordereaux and compliance infrastructure for coverholders in the Australian and Lloyd’s markets. 

Mr Broodryk says the platform will “draw on everything I’ve learnt across my career, at the intersection of insurance and technology”. 

Cuttleflow Systems will exhibit at the Underwriting Agencies Council’s Hobart Market Exchange next week.
