Insurtech New Zealand will host a seminar called Innovation in Life and Health Insurance: Rethinking the Model before the launch of Acenda Life in the country next year.

Presenters in Wellington on November 12 include Asteron Life, Deloitte, Life Direct, Monvia, Partners Life and Simfuni.

Nippon Life acquired Resolution Life last year, including the Asteron business in New Zealand that was previously owned by Suncorp.

The combined group was renamed Acenda, which is combining Asteron Life and Resolution Life New Zealand into a single entity.

A panel of insurance and insurtech leaders will examine trends shaping the life sector, how AI is being used, opportunities from open data, and what makes partnerships between insurers and insurtechs work.
