Seminar to examine ‘zero-delay’ insurance transactions
A free seminar discussing the need for communications networks to deliver AI at scale will be held on April 16.
FUTURES Sydney 2026 – Powering Tomorrow with Photonics will explore the latest network infrastructure.
For the financial services industry, photonics-based networks will support zero-delay transactions and ultra-secure financial operations, according to session host the Innovative Optical and Wireless Network Global Forum.
Tokio Marine and Sumitomo Corporation are among IOWN Global Forum members.
“FUTURES Sydney presents a unique opportunity for key stakeholders to gather and reimagine how industries operate, businesses scale and societies connect,” IOWN Global Forum president Katsuhiko Kawazoe said. “From enabling frictionless financial transactions to powering AI-driven enterprises, the business impact of optical and photonics-driven innovation is endless.”
Photonic/optical networks transmit data using light, or photons, through fibre-optic cables. They significantly increase speed, capacity and energy efficiency compared with copper networks.
