Roneel Kumar has been appointed fractional chief technology officer at insurtech Kaibridge.

Wellington-based Mr Kumar co-founded New Zealand broking business Folio, which was acquired by Community Broker Network a year ago.

He formerly held leadership roles at IBM, Datacom and Qrious.

“Roneel will help shape our technology strategy, platform architecture and AI road map as we build the next generation of intelligent insurance,” said Kaibridge, which is led by former Steadfast COO Nigel Fitzgerald and ex-AIG Australia CEO Grant Cairns.

Earlier this month, Raymond Chen was appointed Kaibridge head of data and AI.
