Vero extends gold run at Mansfield Awards

Vero won three prizes at last night’s Mansfield Awards, including a sixth consecutive Gold Mansfield for overall claims excellence.

The insurer won the SME property and casualty category, and shared honours with FM in the corporate property and casualty section.

Vero commercial and personal injury insurance CEO Michael Miller says the wins demonstrate the group’s dedication to claims experiences and strong standing with industry members.

“To be recognised once again through these respected awards is an honour and reflects the work we’re putting in to ensure businesses get back on track as fast as possible after an event,” he said.

“With broker surveys being key to the judging process, the award holds even more weight for us.

“Broker relationships are key to everything we do, and a good claims experience doesn’t happen without the great work of our brokers.”

Allianz won two awards, for personal lines and workers’ compensation claims.

Transport specialist NTI and travel insurer PassportCard Australia shared top spot in the specialty lines section.

The winner in each category was nominated for the Gold Mansfield.

The Purple Mansfield – recognising services that “made a real difference to a client or community” – was shared, with Allianz’s Christopher Tsalikis and PassportCard’s Lachlan Herring winners.

This year marked the ninth edition of the Mansfield Awards for Claims Excellence, and program founder and LMI Group executive chairman Allan Manning says the ceremony in Sydney attracted a record turnout.

He says the event was dedicated to loss adjusters Paul O’Sullivan and Murray Rowley, who died earlier this year.
