NIBA names award-winning WA brokers

KBI director Brooke Tarr has been named WA broker of the year and Howden’s Isabella Moran has won the state award for best young broker.

The pair are now in the running for the National Insurance Brokers Association’s nationwide awards, which will be revealed at the peak body’s convention on the Gold Coast in October.

NIBA announced the WA winners this afternoon at a gala lunch in Perth, attended by more than 600 guests. Association CEO Richard Klipin congratulated Ms Tarr on her “well deserved” win.

“We wish her all the best as she heads into the national awards in October,” he said. “The finalists have shown what it means to lift professional standards in how they support their clients and their community, and they should be very proud of that.”

Senior broker award sponsor CGU’s national manager for international brokers Scott Gangell said: “[Brooke’s] commitment to going above and beyond for her clients is evident in everything she does.”

Vero, sponsor of the young broker prize, says Ms Moran stood apart in the competition.

“We are passionate about backing the next generation of broking leaders and Isabella is exactly the kind of young professional we’re proud to support,” WA distribution manager Shane Butcher said.
