Guy Carpenter names new Pacific CEO, director
Justin Ward has been promoted to Pacific CEO at Guy Carpenter and will move to Sydney from Singapore next July.
He will lead the reinsurance broker in the region, developing business strategy and reporting to Asia-Pacific CEO Tony Gallagher.
The appointment follows the departure of Ben Savill, who will join Swiss Re in October.
Mr Ward will also work closely with parent Marsh’s regional leadership team, including Guy Carpenter head of broking for the Pacific James Sullivan.
He has held senior broking positions at Guy Carpenter in Sydney and Singapore since 2018 and will continue as capital advisory leader for Asia-Pacific until heading to Australia.
He previously held senior roles at AMP, NAB and IAG.

Marsh has also announced today that James Beedle – a former Willis Re Australia COO and Willis Re Japan CEO – has been appointed to the Guy Carpenter Pacific board, based in Singapore.
