Ben Savill will become CEO of Australia and New Zealand at Swiss Re from October.

He has been Pacific chief executive at Guy Carpenter since April 2024 and before that he held roles with Convex and Fidelis in Bermuda, having started his career with Amlin in London 30 years ago. 

Mr Savill replaces Trent Thomson, who has become Swiss Re head of global specialty, based in London.

“Combining executive leadership with deep technical expertise, Ben's knowledge and broad industry perspective will see us continue to support our clients and partners in this important market,” Swiss Re CEO of property and casualty reinsurance Urs Baertschi said.
