Global broking group Gallagher has bought Queensland-based International Insurance Brokers for an undisclosed amount.

International Insurance Brokers provides retail services with a focus on property coverage for non-profit organisations.

The business “brings strong niche expertise and expands our retail brokerage capabilities in Australia”, Gallagher chairman and CEO J Patrick Gallagher says.

The Queensland broker’s team, led by Justin McPherson and Vince Mason, will move to Gallagher’s Brisbane office under the direction of Alex Lumby, who joined last month as Australia CEO.
