Deadline nears for Mansfield Awards feedback

The deadline is nearing for feedback that will help decide the Mansfield Awards for Claims Excellence, which will be presented at a special event in Sydney next month.

The online survey, which provides the opportunity to rate insurance claim handling performance in areas including speed, proactiveness, accuracy and fairness, will close at 5pm on Thursday.

Mansfield Awards are presented for Personal Lines, SME Property and Casualty, Corporate Property and Casualty and Specialty. A Gold Mansfield for overall claims excellence is awarded to the insurance company that scores highest.

This year’s event also includes the introduction of the Purple Mansfield, a humanitarian award for where a company or individual has gone above and beyond and provided service that has made a real difference to a client or community.

Proceeds from the not-for-profit event go to the Amal Mulia Orphanage, in Bengkulu, Indonesia, which is near Fort Marlborough, the location of the claim that gave rise to Lord Mansfield’s 1766 decision that, for general insurance to work, it needs to be based on utmost good faith by all parties to the contract.

The awards presentation will be held at The Establishment Ballroom at 6pm on September 15.

The survey can be accessed here and tickets to the event are available here.
