Arch Insurance Australia has appointed Andrew Whitlock as casualty underwriting manager for the northern region.

Mr Whitlock will oversee underwriting activities and broker relationships in Queensland, NSW and the ACT.

He joins Arch after eight years at Chubb, having started at the insurer’s London office before moving to Sydney in 2023.

Most recently, he was casualty segment leader for Chubb’s major accounts division in Australia.

Mr Whitlock will be based in Sydney and report to Arch casualty underwriting manager Michelle Armstrong.  

Regional manager Dominic Brannigan says the appointment marks “an important step in the continued development of our casualty portfolio across Australia.

“As a core line of business for Arch, we’re committed to strengthening our presence in the sector through market-leading talent and solutions that serve brokers and clients across the country.”
