Aon recruits local cyber lead
Aon Australia CEO Kevan Johnston says Quinton Kotze will join the broker in May as Australian cyber solutions head.
Mr Kotze will be responsible for cyber risk strategy, with a focus on growing related advisory and insurance solutions.
He will also work to improve collaboration among Aon’s specialty team and its broader operations.
Mr Kotze moves from Chubb, where he spent nearly 13 years in senior cyber and technology management positions – most recently as digital domain lead and financial lines product manager for Asia.
He also worked at AIG as a financial lines manager from 2010 to 2013, and spent six years at Marsh.
Mr Kotze, based in Sydney, will report to Aon Australia specialty head Alistair Clarke, who was appointed in February.
“Quinton brings deep cyber and financial lines experience, strong market credibility and a practical approach to helping clients build resilience,” Mr Clarke said on LinkedIn.
“Cyber remains one of the most complex and fast‑evolving risks our clients face, and this role is critical as we continue to strengthen how we bring together cyber advisory and insurance solutions in Australia.”
Mr Johnston said on LinkedIn that Mr Kotze’s experience will “strengthen our cyber capability and the support we provide to clients across Australia”.
Michael Parrant held a similar position at Aon, as cyber practice leader, before his move to rival international broker Willis last August.
