Tower partners up on renters’ cover

Tower has become the exclusive insurance partner of New Zealand rental services start-up Renti.

Renters can arrange home, contents and vehicle insurance through the Renti platform.

They can also manage rental applications and personal information lodged on the platform, and connect utilities to their property.

Landlords and agents can use Renti to streamline listings and manage applications.

Tower director of partnerships Alan Fletcher says Renti’s digital approach and growth potential make it a good fit and the insurer is “keen to partner with more Kiwi platforms that help people organise everything in one place”.

Renti COO Drake Farmer says renters are a significant and growing part of New Zealand’s housing market but are often underserved when it comes to products and services designed around their needs. “Partnering with Tower means we can help renters think about insurance at a relevant moment and make it easier for them to protect the things that matter.”

He says Tower was an obvious choice as insurance partner because of its strong digital capability, customer focus and trusted brand.

“As Renti continues to grow, we’re focused on building a platform that gives renters more value, more control and easier access to services that support them,” Mr Farmer said.

“Insurance is an important part of that.”
