Pemba finalises Hunter purchase
Private equity firm Pemba Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of Hunter Premium Funding.
Allianz Australia announced in December that it was selling the business to Pemba – which also has an investment in Arteva Funding – to focus on its core insurance operations.
The Hunter team has transferred with the business and will operate under the same brand, with no change to operations, systems or services.
Pemba MD Robert Haybittel says as a well-established brand, Hunter has “tremendous potential” for growth and innovation.
“Our goal is to build on Hunter’s solid foundation, working closely with their talented team to expand its capabilities and deliver even greater value to brokers and customers,” he said.
Hunter and Arteva will operate separately, each maintaining their own identity, values and customer focus, Pemba says.
The acquisition was finalised on May 30.
