New leader steps up as Insurebiz founder retires

Brokerage Insurebiz has changed its leadership and ownership structure following the retirement of founding director Chris Mustafa.

Business partner Sinan Sarah has acquired full ownership of the Parramatta-based group, in a planned transition as Mr Mustafa steps back after more than three decades.

“Chris has been instrumental in shaping the foundation and growth of our organisation,” Mr Sarah said. “It is with great respect and admiration that I commit to building upon the path he so thoughtfully paved.”

Mr Sarah has worked in the insurance industry for 21 years, starting with NZI in Auckland. He has been with the Sydney brokerage since 2008 and a business partner since 2017.

The company, which focuses on the SME market, has been an authorised representative of Ausure for about 16 years.

“We have a team of four currently and will look to grow that in the future,” Mr Sarah told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Insurebiz says the restructure took effect this month, with day-to-day operations unaffected and all current policies, coverage terms and premiums continuing as previously agreed.
