Helia has secured a new four-year contract to provide lenders’ mortgage insurance to ING Bank home loan customers.

The LMI specialist previously said it expected to lose ING after the bank decided not to renew an agreement that ended last month.

“Helia … is pleased to announce that it has been selected as the exclusive provider of LMI to ING for a period of four years commencing July 1 2026,” the company said today.

Helia says the previous exclusive agreement “represented approximately 20% of Helia’s FY25 gross written premium”.

The LMI insurer recorded GWP of $240 million last financial year, up 23%.
