Claim Central Consolidated has appointed Hamish McLennan as an independent director.

Mr McLennan joins a board that includes Macquarie Group Head of Principal Investments Australia and New Zealand Richard Turner and Envest founding partner and MD Greg Mullins.

“I was attracted to the fact that Claim Central is a disruptor in the insurance industry and insurance is a massive market opportunity globally,” he said.

Mr McLennan brings to Claim Central more than 30 years’ experience in the media industry. Most recently he was Executive VP of News Corporation and Global Chairman and CEO of communications service group Young & Rubicam.

He is Chairman of listed digital property classifieds business REA Group, media company Here, There & Everywhere, and Rugby Australia, while also sitting on the board of funds management group Magellan.
