Guy Carpenter fills Pacific leadership role
Guy Carpenter has made Justin Ward Pacific CEO and added James Beedle to its Pacific board.
Mr Ward’s promotion follows the departure of Ben Savill, who will join Swiss Re in October. Mr Ward will move to Sydney from Singapore next July and will report to the reinsurance broker’s Asia-Pacific CEO Tony Gallagher.
Mr Gallagher said: “With our strengthened management team, Guy Carpenter is well placed to help clients across Asia-Pacific navigate a market shaped by elevated catastrophe risk, evolving regulation and growing demand for tailored analytics and advisory support.”
Mr Ward has held senior broking positions at Guy Carpenter in Sydney and Singapore since 2018 and will continue as capital advisory leader for Asia-Pacific until heading to Australia. He previously held senior roles at AMP, NAB and IAG.
“The Pacific region is a dynamic and increasingly important part of the global reinsurance landscape,” Mr Ward said.
“Guy Carpenter is well positioned to help clients in Australia, New Zealand and across the Pacific respond with insight and discipline.”
Mr Beedle is a former Willis Re Australia COO and Willis Re Japan CEO.
