IAG details year of motor, property repair jobs
IAG completed 79,407 motor inspections and 25,409 property repairs in 2025-26, achieving average quality scores of 98% and 91% respectively, according to a report released today.
The insurer’s annual quality report details its work across motor and property, plus trends driving repairs.
“The past year has reinforced the importance of delivering quality repairs in an increasingly complex environment,” EGM retail claims Luke Gallagher said.
“Vehicles are rapidly becoming more technologically advanced, homes are incorporating increasingly innovative features, materials and construction methods, and severe weather events continue to test the resilience of people, properties and communities across Australia.
“In this changing environment, delivering quality repairs requires continual investment in capability, technology and collaboration with our partner repairers.”
The report says the electric vehicle market has entered a new phase as take-up grows.
“Today’s consumers want confidence that vehicles can be safely repaired, batteries will perform over the long term and qualified repairers will be available when needed,” IAG said.
“As vehicle technology evolves, IAG continues to work closely with repairers, industry bodies and training providers to support safe and effective EV repairs.”
In property, the insurer has expanded its focus on innovative temporary accommodation, investing in Spacecube, a Melbourne modular building company that delivers rapid-deploy housing for customers displaced by natural disasters.
“With extreme weather events becoming more frequent and severe for communities across Australia, a key priority for us is providing safe and practical temporary accommodation solutions for customers during the property repair and rebuild phase,” the insurer said.
“IAG continues to explore innovative post-disaster solutions that help provide practical customer support when it’s needed most.”
