Zurich Insurance has made Megan Shao its chief claims officer for Asia-Pacific.  

Ms Shao, who takes up the role in February, will work to deliver on claims strategies and enhance operations across business lines.  

She is returning to Zurich after previously serving as its Asia-Pacific financial lines and casualty claims head until 2022. She rejoins from Axa XL, where she was Asia head of claims.  

She has also worked at Canopius as Asia-Pacific head of claims and Chubb in several positions over 12 years.  

Ms Shao will be based in Singapore and report to Asia-Pacific commercial insurance head and chief technical officer Sean Walker.
