Arteva boss takes group role as Hunter chief to retire

Hunter Premium Funding CEO Brad Bartlem is retiring after 26 years with the business, which operates across Australia and New Zealand.

Parent Bravas Group says Daniel Gronert has been appointed to the new role of group chief commercial officer, encompassing Hunter Premium Funding and its Arteva Funding business. Mr Gronert has been Arteva CEO.

Both businesses will continue to operate as distinct brands, with brokers working with their current relationship managers and sales teams.

Glenn Paine will continue to lead Hunter’s Australian sales team and Alex Lam its New Zealand sales team, while Ross McCallum is head of sales at Arteva.

The company says Mr Bartlem has helped shape Hunter into a trusted premium funding partner for brokers across Australia and New Zealand.

“Throughout his career, he has led the business through significant growth and change, building lasting relationships with brokers, industry partners and colleagues,” it said.

“His commitment to brokers and deep industry knowledge have been hallmarks of his leadership.

“Hunter thanks Brad for his dedication and significant contribution over the past 26 years.”

Ray Zammit returns to Hunter in December to lead key partnerships and Rebecca Capes will continue to shape Hunter’s strategic direction and strengthen its offering for brokers and their clients, the business says.

Mr Bartlem will remain connected with Hunter in a consulting capacity after his retirement.

Bravas is backed by Pemba Capital Partners, which last May acquired Hunter from Allianz Australia.
