Zurich Resilience Solutions has launched an interactive climate tool for the Asia-Pacific region.

The Climate Spotlight uses climate data to help businesses, local government and public entities anticipate, mitigate and manage risks.

The tool began rolling out last November and Zurich Resilience Solutions head of Asia-Pacific Mark Fletcher says its arrival in the region comes at a critical time, with Asia warming at twice the global average rate.

There are two versions of the tool: a core product that enables users to identify climate risk exposure for up to 100 sites worldwide; and an advanced product with customisation, including business and exposure-related metrics, vulnerability data, analysis for any number of sites and export consultation.

Mr Fletcher says it provides actionable insights for strategic and operational decisions.

The tool also simplifies reporting for the International Sustainability Standards Board’s IFRS2 standard on climate-related risks and opportunities, and for corporate sustainability reporting frameworks, he says.
