CGU secures insurance licence
IAG's intermediated division has been granted a licence for its general insurance operations.
The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority says it has given authorisation to CGU to “carry on insurance business”. IAG says the CGU licence also covers WFI.
IAG said last August it had applied to the prudential regulator for a separate licence for its intermediated business.
CGU provides commercial, rural and personal lines products through broking partners, and also offers workers’ compensation insurance.
