Allianz holds onto biggest brand crown

Allianz has been named the world’s top insurance brand for the seventh year running.

The insurer’s brand value has increased by 20% to $US28.2 billion ($43.39 billion), according to the annual Interbrand Best Global Brands program.

It ranks 27 on the overall list of 100 brands, with the top three Apple, Microsoft and Amazon.

Interbrand ranks companies based on revenue, market presence, publicly available data, profit, public awareness and brand strength.

Allianz Australia chief general manager for consumer Shez Ford says the group has recorded its highest ranking.

The insurer was this year recognised in the Best Workplaces in Australia program and its “care you can count on” advertisement was named Australia’s favourite ad by the agency TRA.
