Chubb, AIG leaders exit in executive shuffle
Chubb’s country president for Australia and New Zealand Ben Howell and AIG Australia CEO Kathleen Warden are leaving their roles, insuranceNEWS.com.au can confirm.
Chubb staff were told last week that Mr Howell had left the position and Asia-Pacific head of commercial property and casualty Chris Colahan would take over as country president on an interim basis.
AIG’s Ms Warden has resigned, with her notice period ending in October. She will join Chubb as head of Pacific property and casualty.
Neither company has officially confirmed the moves or commented on them, but insuranceNEWS.com.au has verified the facts with trusted sources.
Chubb staff are said to be shocked at the highly regarded Mr Howell’s unexpected departure.
He has worked with Chubb for almost a decade, taking the top local role in September 2024 after Peter Kelaher moved to France.
Ms Warden has led AIG’s local business since May last year, when Grant Cairns departed for insurtech Kaibridge. Mr Colahan left AIG to join Chubb late last year.
insuranceNEWS.com.au will provide more details as they become available.
