QBE Foundation backs more community projects
The QBE Foundation has awarded $600,000 to 12 charity and community organisations across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific through its local grants program.
The projects will each receive $50,000 to strengthen inclusion and climate resilience.
Chris Esson, co-chair of the Australia Pacific QBE Foundation, says the more than 500 expressions of interest received this year show the “depth of commitment and innovation across the community sector. Our annual local grants program enables community organisations to expand their impact and deliver lasting benefits to the people and places that need support most.
“The 12 organisations selected this year are addressing complex challenges, strengthening community resilience and creating opportunities for people to thrive. We are proud to support their efforts and look forward to seeing the positive outcomes their initiatives will deliver.”
