NIBA Convention sells out
More than 1000 delegates have registered for the sold-out NIBA Convention, up from 890 last year.
The conference, from October 18-20 at RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast, features 70 speakers, 119 exhibitors and 44 award finalists.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin says passing 1000 delegates “shows how much value brokers and their partners place on meeting face to face, learning from each other and working through the issues that matter to their clients”.
At the event, the association will launch new research on the impact of technology and AI, along with the final version of the 2027 Insurance Brokers Code of Practice.
“Releasing the final version at the convention gives members the chance to engage with it directly, with time to prepare before it takes effect in January,” association president Nick Cook said.
The convention will also focus on professional development.
The dedicated pathway program includes opportunities for emerging brokers to build skills, expand networks and connect with experienced professionals and industry leaders.
Mr Cook says this is “central to the future of broking. By investing in their development and showing what a career in broking offers, we can bring more talented people into the profession and help them build long, rewarding careers serving their clients and communities.”
