The Sydney Marine Discussion Group presented annual awards and a lifetime honour at an event last Thursday.

The award for a lifetime of service to marine insurance was presented to Andrew Black from Salt Marine Risks.

Underwriter of the year went to Robert Cairoli from Liberty Specialty Markets, broker of the year was Linh Nguyen-Prashar from Howden, claims manager of the year went to Milly Brooks from the Shipowners’ Club, and service provider of the year was Captain Arvinder Singh from vrs ANA Chartered Loss Adjusters.

The group also says Alice Baker of Gallagher will take over as chair from Axa XL’s Ben Healey.
