Lockton names regional risk advice leader

Lockton has appointed Patrick Hunter as Pacific head of risk consulting, as the brokerage continues to expand its specialist advisory capabilities.

It says Mr Hunter has extensive experience in valuations, risk engineering, catastrophe modelling, insurance analytics and business interruption loss analysis, and has advised organisations across the Pacific region and internationally.

Mr Hunter will lead the risk consulting practice across Australia and New Zealand.

“Patrick brings a unique combination of technical expertise, commercial insight and large catastrophe loss experience,” Pacific CEO Marcus Pearson said.

“His vision for risk consulting aligns strongly with our strategy of making a meaningful difference to our clients’ businesses, in this case through the deployment of specialist risk consulting capabilities.”

Mr Hunter, based in Auckland, says businesses face increasingly complex and interconnected risks.

“Our role is to help clients understand those risks, make better-informed decisions and ultimately create greater value for their organisations,” he said.
