ICNZ to address population change

Demographic changes, cyber risk, telematics and the implications of Big Data will fall under the spotlight at the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) annual conference.

Microsoft New Zealand MD Paul Muckleston, AIG Asia-Pacific Professional Indemnity Manager Matthew Clarke and Symantec Principal Consultant David Shaw will discuss emerging technology issues.

New Zealand Institute of Economic Research Principal Economist Shamubeel Eaqub and University of Waikato Professor of Demography Natalie Jackson will discuss population change and its implications for insurers.

ICNZ President Jacki Johnson will give the insurer’s perspective.

University of Waikato Professor of Environmental Planning Iain White, who has worked on flood issues with the Association of British Insurers and the European Union, will outline climate change matters.

Guy Carpenter Pacific Region CEO Tony Gallagher will discuss the reinsurance market and DLA Phillips Fox partner Crossley Gates will speak on policy wordings.

The conference is on November 5 at Auckland’s SkyCity Convention Centre.
