IA Foundation donations clear $5m milestone

The Insurance Advisernet Foundation gave $870,000 to organisations across Australia in 2025-26, taking its charitable giving above $5 million over the past decade.

An annual report says the foundation, established in 2015, continues to channel the collective goodwill of authorised representative network members, staff and insurance partners into support for grassroots charities.

Founder and chairman Ian Carr says the latest results reflect a “shared purpose” to lift communities and provide hope where it is needed most.

Contributions from Insurance Advisernet and its partners totalled $642,595 for the year.

The largest single donation – $70,000 – went to the Australian Men’s Shed Association; $50,000 contributions were made to Tour de Cure, Soldier On and Sony Foundation Australia, backing cancer research, veteran support and youth-focused programs respectively.

A series of $25,000 donations went to causes including FightMND, the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Brisbane Youth Service, What Ability Foundation, Sacred Heart Mission and Foodbank Queensland.

Many of these partnerships span multiple years, reflecting the foundation’s long-term commitment to community organisations.

Grants of $10,000 and below supported autism services, mental health programs, disability sport, wildlife care, crisis support and youth music initiatives.

Mr Carr says the organisation will continue striving to donate more than $500,000 a year, aiming to leave “a social legacy for generations to come”.
