Thousands of insurance professionals from across the world are coming together as this year’s AI-focused Dive In Festival begins today.

In-person and virtual events highlighting issues around culture, talent and inclusion take place across dozens of countries – including Australia – during the three-day program.

Under the theme “The Human gAIn: Powering Culture & Connection,” discussions will explore how organisations can embrace artificial intelligence while continuing to strengthen the trust and human relationships that underpin long-term success.

Since its launch in 2015, Dive In – which is supported by Insurance News – has grown into the world's largest diversity and inclusion festival, engaging nearly 200,000 people.

“Many discussions have extended beyond the festival to shape new policies, launch employee initiatives and change leadership approaches across the insurance industry,” organisers say.

“Those changes also offer a blueprint for how the industry can continue tackling emerging workplace challenges.”

However, Lloyd’s has confirmed that this will be the last year for Dive In. Discussions are ongoing around a “new direction” for culture, skills and talent, and a new program for 2027 and beyond.

“As we look to the future, that spirit of collaboration is something we must carry forward,” Nick Line, chief underwriting officer at CFC and Dive In chair, said.

“The workplace will continue to evolve, but our ability to come together, share ideas and learn from one another will remain essential to building stronger cultures across our industry.”

Aon UK chair Dom Christian says progress inspired by Dive In is a source of pride.

“When Dive In began, many of these conversations simply weren’t happening in our industry,” he said.

“Today, they are part of everyday business discussion. Its impact can be seen in the organisations that changed policies, the leaders who thought differently and, importantly, the conversations that continued long after each festival ended.”
