The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance has opened submissions for its annual industry awards.  

It will be the 20th edition of the Australian Insurance Industry Awards, with honours available across 17 categories including general insurance, life insurance, broking and underwriting.  

At last year’s awards, Aon and Suncorp took key prizes while Sedgwick National Executive Adjuster Tony Morgan was recognised with a lifetime achievement award.    

“I’m overjoyed to announce the industry’s night of nights and my first Australian Insurance Industry Awards event as the new CEO of ANZIIF,” the institute’s head Katrina Shanks said. 

“Together, let’s celebrate the extraordinary commitment and passion that enables our industry to thrive – from outstanding customer outcomes and innovative solutions to future-focused people development and inspiring commitment to ESG [environment, social and governance].”  

Submissions will be assessed by two rounds of judging panels. Nominations close on April 19.   

The awards will be held at the Star, Sydney, on August 22.
