ANZIIF holds liability conference

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance will host a liability conference in Auckland on Wednesday.

The event, offered online or in person at the Hilton Auckland, promises expert-led sessions on emerging risks and market trends.

A panel discussing “mitigating emerging risks in construction” will feature Gallagher broking manager Rebecca Moller and MinterEllisonRuddWatts partner Natasha Hood.

Corporate Risks MD Russell Joseph and Wotton Kearney special counsel Charles Henley will present From Incident to Evidence: Forensic Case Analysis in General Liability, Fire and Property.

Privacy Commissioner Michael Websterwill provide an update, and Coveware’s James Finlay will present Cyber Incident Response: Inside the Ransomware Negotiation Room.

Duncan Cotterill special counsel Daniel Robinson and Wynn Williams senior associate Rosie Judd will present Regulatory Shifts: Enforcement, Education and the Impact of Reduced Resourcing.

Delta claims manager Petra Lucioli will discuss “the contract of insurance” and the afternoon will include case law recaps, an update by economist Shamubeel Eaqub, and a presentation on mediating liability claims.

The speaker line-up also includes IAG liability manager David Sutcliffe, QBE head of claims Luanna Philippe and technical claims specialist Sam Learmonth, Fee Langstone special counsel Morgan Fee, Hesketh Henry solicitor Mila Strand-Saseve, and mediator Nina Khouri.
