Perth-based ex-colleagues Lee Thomson and Sean Condo have launched General Insurance Brokers, aiming to provide strategic insurance solutions and ensure client risk portfolios are managed efficiently.

Mr Thomson was most recently corporate manager at Lockton for more than four years.

Before that he spent more than a decade at Willis CKA Risk Solutions as an account director, where Mr Condo was senior account executive until late 2018 before taking senior roles at WTW.

Mr Thomson told insuranceNEWS.com.au the pair have experience with many industries.

“The bottom line is, where we can add value, that’s what we’re really trying to do,” he said.

“We were colleagues and have known each other for a fairly long time, and this was really about providing services and being that boutique, client-focused, solutions-oriented business for clients – that’s really why we set it up.”

After 14 years at Willis, Mr Condo says it was not an easy decision to establish the brokerage, but the pair were ready to “have a go ourselves and try to do something a little bit differently.

“We are here to help solve any insurance problem, big or small. Our commitment is to bring clarity and cost control back to businesses. 

“We look forward to reconnecting with our network and building new relationships.”
