Ben Doherty will join Vero’s Victorian and Tasmanian business as fleet underwriter.  

He moves from QBE, where he was a service manager for Elders property claims and also worked on large commercial and complex claims.    

The appointment marks a return to the Suncorp stable for Mr Doherty, who left the insurer in 2022 after nearly 10 years, including time as a manager for novated lease claims. He has also worked at NTI as a claims operations manager.  

“Ben brings extensive claims experience across multiple lines, along with time in fleet risk engineering, where he worked with clients on risk management and fleet performance, drawing on knowledge from the Monash University road safety management program,” Vero distribution manager for Victoria and Tasmania Megan Lewis said.  

Mr Doherty will be based in Melbourne.
